The foundation stone of Richter Baumaschinen was laid in 1972 by Horst Richter. Das Kerngeschäft waren die Instandhaltung und die Reparatur von Betonstahl-Verarbeitungsmaschinen der Marken Peddinghaus, Muhr & Bender, Hambi, Steinweg und Krupp.

In 1979, the company moved to larger premises in Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg. The son, Frank Richter, joined the company in 1989 after training as an electrician. He successfully passed the master craftsman’s examination in Hamburg in 1995 and attended further courses in fluid technology (hydraulics), system component control and electrical engineering.

Mr. Horst Richter passed away in 1996. Since then, the company has been successfully continued by Frank Richter. In 2016, the business area was expanded with an online spare parts store.
Due to our presence on the market for many years, we now have contacts throughout Europe,
which are very helpful when buying and selling used reinforcing steel processing machines.
